They were once Fierce Morgan, until they let that fire burn out… Now they’re Havelocke and they’ve just given us an insight into their emo punk future, with the release of ‘The Nightmare’.

Havelocke are an emotionally driven punk rock band based in Sheffield. They bring together a wide range of influences, fusing elements of punk rock, emo, hardcore and post-hardcore. Havelocke’s music consists of hard-hitting riffs, big choruses, heartfelt lyrics, with a few moments of breakdown chaos and progressive instrumentation sprinkled in for good measure.

The first release from the EP is ‘The Nightmare’, coinciding with the release of their awesome tarot-themed merch. You can listen to ‘The Nightmare’ which was exclusively premiered on New Noise magazine here.

Havelocke have also announced their first show, supporting Gnarwolves at Record Junkee in Sheffield on May 13th. You can get tickets here.

The EP ‘Sleep When the World Ends’, release is set for mid – late June. We’re told that the title of this EP has a lot of symbolism and connection to the tracks – growing up as a kid who thought the world was a beautiful place and realising that it really isn’t, its full of loneliness, sadness and hate.
